Yellowstone National park October 2010
Yellowstone Park is awesome. We started out by stopping in the town of West Yellowstone. Lunch. So Hungry. Everyone went their own way and ate and looked around and meet back at the vans . We went into the park and about 20 minutes later, there were cars stopped everywhere so we jumped out of the vans to see what the excitement was all about. We saw this huge herd of Elk. One male and his harem of females. They were so close. Elk can be really dangerous so we were on guard, well, should have been anyway, but they just let us take pictures of them. Then the male decided he had enough of us and got up and made noises and the females moved away from us. That was so cool. Then we went into Old Faithful. This geyser goes off every hour or so. We got there in time to shop a little and then walked over to watch it go off. That was fun too. Then we went to Fire hole. Teresa thought it was hot pots that we could all get into. WRONG AGAIN. But we got in anyway. There is a hot springs that feeds into the river so it was a little warmer. We jumped in and played for a little bit then out. Freezing. So fun though. By now, we were starving again. Why is it, we are always starving before they feed us on these trips.
We went back out through West Yellowstone to eat. McDonald's didn't know what hit them at 10 pm when 2 vans full of us piled out and ate there. We entertained the locals for a while then headed home. Joanna, the driver of one of the vans, I heard, almost slept with us all the way home. Just kidding but we all did and once again arrived safely at our homes. Another adventure survived.
